When I started climbing, an instructor once told me, ”You need to visualize your route carefully beforehand and make sure you’re well secured on the rock.” Back then, I thought planning every step in advance and securing everything 100% wasn’t really my thing. But once I got into it, I realized both made perfect sense. Suddenly, putting it into practice became easy.
No matter how much you plan, there are always many routes to the summit — and sometimes the weather just doesn’t cooperate. Everyone is different and should be allowed to develop the technique that suits them best.
It’s fulfilling to create value by embracing a mindset of learning together, trying things out, and even failing sometimes. That’s what makes the working world more agile, courageous, joyful, and human.
In my next life I will be:
An inventor. I’ve wanted to be one since I was a child.
Can we get rid of it?
No, we can always make something out of it.
And what do we do now?
I don’t really know yet either, but I have an inkling. Let’s get started and see what develops.
