When I was in university, I really wanted to become a project manager because I thought it was mainly about the technical management of resources, and I believed the world worked in a deterministic way. But over time, I realized that’s not how things work at all. When you’re working with people, skills like empathy and clear communication are far more important for creating shared success. This understanding has helped me grow steadily into leadership roles over the years. It’s also made me appreciate how valuable these skills are in my personal life, especially in my relationships with my partner and children. I know that I have to continuously work to find the right balance, and I’m grateful for the positive impact this has had on my life.
